Every day, and in times of crisis, help starts here.

The Opportunity Alliance is the Community Action Agency for Cumberland County. Through multiple integrated community-based and clinical programs, we serve more than 20,000 people annually throughout Maine.

For 50 years, we have provided advocacy, leadership, and support to help individuals, families, and communities identify goals and address their needs.

Building stronger communities, together.

To build better lives and stronger communities across Maine, The Opportunity Alliance supports people with the programs and resources they need to improve their health, safety, and stability.

We believe in people’s capacity to succeed with the proper support systems in place. Here in Maine, we’ve seen that firsthand. In these uncertain and often scary times, our clients, staff, and long-time partners all around the state are exercising daily acts of resilience, kindness, courage, and creativity.
